King Philip Administration Statement To Community

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great concern and sadness that we are learning of the terrible tragedy that unfolded Tuesday at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

I would like to take this opportunity to assure families that we work closely with our police department and other community partners to create and maintain a safe environment in our facilities.

Just as importantly, I would like to assure you that school counseling staff, teachers, and other staff members will be working to ensure that King Philip students will continue to have safe, comforting learning environments where we can focus on learning instead of fear.

In the coming days, school counseling staff will be available to any student or staff member who feels overwhelmed as a result of what has transpired in Texas. We encourage all students, staff members and family members to contact their school leaders if they see anything they are concerned about, or if they have questions about security measures.

News such as this can be difficult to digest, and I encourage all students, staff, parents and guardians to use the resources we share as a school community in the coming days. We are stronger and safer when we stand together as a community.

Sincerely,

The King Philip Administration
